If you’re like me and love decorating for different seasons and holidays, you’ll want to make this adorable Pumpkin Vase for your house and front porch or give it as a gift.

Pinterest has to be one of the best inventions of all times. Seriously! There are so many great ideas on there. I could spend most of my day pinning on my “Dream House” board. So I’ve been checking out ideas for my front porch since fall is here and I love pumpkins.

I always see these giant Mums in huge pots that I love but they would take up my whole entire porch. So instead, I went and bought some pumpkins and small Mums that were on sale for $3.88 and made these cute Pumpkin Flower Vases for my porch. The great part is they didn’t cost very much to make, a little less than $8.00 each and you’ve got some unique decorations.

All you need are these items:

  • Pumpkins
  • Mums
  • Carving knife
  • Pen

First, carve a square out of the top of your pumpkin and discard. Then you’ll want to take out all your pumpkin guts and seeds. Save the seeds as I’ll show you how to make this amazing pumpkin seed recipe!

Next place the bottom of your flower pot onto the top of your pumpkin and use a pen to trace the pot onto the pumpkin and use your knife to cut the hole out slightly larger than your traced line.

Put the flower pot with the flowers still inside into your carved out pumpkin. You’ll want to wipe off any excess dirt or pumpkin guts and set your beautiful pumpkin vase onto your front porch.
