Learn how to run a 5K and still smell like victory with just a few simple steps and some great smelling laundry detergent.
I have never been a runner or someone who enjoyed to run, at the gym I would go straight for the ellipticals or bikes. The last time I actually ran was the mandatory timed mile in high school gym class. I'm not exactly sure why I chose to start running over the winter for exercise but I did. I wanted to get moving and the indoor track in my town is free so It sounded like a great start for me.
I started rotating walking and running laps around the track and kind of fell In love with running. It was something that got me out and motivated each morning. That is when I decided to try out a 5k this summer. If you're not familiar with 5k's, they are 3.1 miles long and in the summer they are hot. Running races are groups of some of the most positive people, everyone is there for the same reason and when you get passed (which as a running newbie, was a lot) people high five and encourage you.
I came home from my first 5k one morning and my husband jokingly said "get in the shower now", we were laughing so hard. I quickly realized that I was gonna need to find some great smelling laundry detergent to keep myself smelling fresh before, during and after my new love of 5k's.
