Easy Easter Bunny Popsicle Stick Craft For Kids

Published: Feb 8, 2017 · Modified: Nov 1, 2021 by Emily Stones · This post may contain affiliate links · 1 Comment

This Easy Easter Bunny Popsicle Stick Craft For Kids will be the perfect addition to the Easter Chick Popsicle Stick Craft we made last week.

After making those cute little Easter chicks last week we felt like they needed a little friend. So that is how we came up with this Easter Bunny Popsicle Stick Craft for kids. This bunny is cute and fuzzy and the two of them make the perfect pair.

When I was little, the Easter Bunny would always hide the baskets he brought us. Some years we spent what felt like hours searching our house looking for our baskets. I remember my brother's basket being found in the top of a closet behind a bunch of boxes. Finding my basket was one of my favorite parts about Easter, along with decorating eggs. Now that we have our own family the Easter Bunny hides tons of plastic eggs around the house and leaves a fun filled basket on the table which is just as fun. The eggs are usually filled with quarters and maybe a $5 bill in the golden egg, way better than candy.

When making this fun Easter Bunny Popsicle Stick Craft for kids you can talk about all your favorite parts about Easter and what it was like growing up vs. what your family traditions are now. The kids will love finding out what the Easter Bunny used to bring you.

How to make an Easter Bunny Popsicle Stick Craft for Kids:

Materials:

  • jumbo popsicle sticks
  • white craft paint
  • light pink felt
  • pink buttons
  • foam paint brush
  • googly eyes
  • scissors
  • hot glue gun/hot glue

Directions:

  1. Lay out an old newspaper or scrap paper, paint your craft sticks white, and let dry.
  2. Glue your 3 white craft sticks together in a triangle shape. This Easy Easter Bunny Popsicle Stick Craft For Kids will be the perfect addition to the Easter Chick Popsicle Stick Craft we made last week.
  3. Glue your triangle onto a piece of pink felt and trim off any excess from the sides.
  4. Hot glue two googly eyes onto the center of your pink triangle with a point of the triangle facing down.
  5. Now cut three pipe cleaners 3" long and glue them to the bottom of the triangle in a criss cross pattern for the whiskers.
  6. Then hot glue a pink button onto the center of the pipe cleaners for a nose. 7. Cut a pipe cleaner in half, twist the bottom of each piece so the top stays rounded, and hot glue the ends to the back of the bunnies head. Repeat so you have two bunny ears.

I can't be the only one who's Easter Bunny hid the baskets on! What did/does the Easter Bunny do with your baskets? Let us know in the comments below!
