My first grader has officially taken an interest in playing softball. So once a week we all pack up the family for practices and twice a week we cheer her on as a family on game day. Softball and baseball fields are often in the open and there’s little or no protection from the wind or sun. After a game, my face has taken a beating. Whether it’s the sun or the wind, I can feel a noticeable difference in my skin. That’s why I always make sure to use my hydrating face lotion after game days.

After game days, we return home where one of the first things I do is wash my face. Some days the wash cloth is covered in a grimy film from the dirt fields. Once my face is clean, I apply my hydrating face lotion and holler at my daughter to get her uniform into the laundry room.

Directions:

  1. In a saucepan, add shea butter, cocoa butter and coconut oil. Heat on medium low heat and stir constantly until melted. Remove from heat and set aside for 30 minutes to cool.
  2. Stir in olive and essential oils. Chill until mixture begins to solidify, about 10-20 minutes. Remove from refrigerator and whip with a beater. Store in a jar.

Directions for use: Apply after cleansing and toning at night. A little goes a long way and once the lotion hits your skin, it will begin to soften a bit with your body temperature. Spread evenly onto your skin.
