Cranberry pinwheel slice and bake cookies are soon to be a holiday favorite in your home!
As much as I love my classic Christmas cookie recipes, every year I try to make a new cookie for the holidays. I’m typically a chocolate lover but since I was trying something new, I made these cranberry pinwheel slice and bake cookies!
Last year I made these amazing red, white and green slice and bake cookies. Perhaps I enjoy finding new slice and bake cookies!
Slice and bake cookies are one of my favorites because I typically make them the day before, refrigerate them overnight and then slice and bake them. That’s exactly how I made these cranberry pinwheel cookies!
These cookies have a classic butter cookie flavor, almost like a delicious butter shortbread. But with a nice sweet and chewy center of brown sugar, nuts and cranberries. They are really unique and delicious.
How to Make Cranberry Pinwheel Slice and Bake Cookies
You can find fresh cranberries in the produce section around the holidays. I use my food processor to chop up the fresh whole berries. I use my favorite nut grinder to grind the nuts to the perfect size for these cranberry pinwheels.
These cookies will also make your house smell amazing while they are baking!
These freeze very well, too! So don’t hesitate to hide a few in the freezer! Grab a few when you want a nice hot cup of coffee and a sweet treat!
