With school starting soon for us, and some children already back to school, my kids are always famished when they get home from school. I swear they could eat everything in the house! While we provide healthy snacks like, fresh fruit, yogurt, cheese sticks, and veggies, making a “special treat” a few times a week with the popcorn all always gets them excited.

Popcorn is a great healthy snack to have on hand! It’s super inexpensive, easy to make and the kids love it. Enter the Popcorn Ball. It’s this cool new product that is perfect for making the kids healthy popcorn to munch on any time of day. It’s roughly the size of a bowling ball and holds up to 15 cups of popped popcorn! It’s easy to use and even the kids can use it without me supervising. My 7 year old is finally able to use the microwave without help (for basic cooking) and loves the Popcorn Ball.

Here’s what you do:

  1. Open the Popcorn Ball lid.
  2. Pour 1/4-1/2 C. popcorn kernels inside.
  3. Close the lid.
  4. Place in the microwave for 3-4 minutes.
  5. That’s it! Easy and you don’t need any added oils or butter! Of course if you want to add salt and butter, open the lid, toss some inside, close the lid and spin the ball to mix it evenly!
