Originally from Northern Michigan, Jill still lives there with her husband of 10 years. Together they have 3 children and 1 German Shorthair Pointer named Charlie. Growing up in a rural community and on an 80 acre farm, Jill could be found playing outside, swimming at her grandmother’s lake house or in the field picking a variety of crops year round.
After high school, Jill attended Michigan State University and then Lake Superior State University in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Jill graduated from Lake State with an Early Childhood Education and Human Services degree and taught Head Start for Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. While teaching Head Start, Jill went back to school and received her Michigan Elementary Teaching Certification from Spring Arbor University.
After getting married in 2006, Jill soon became a stay at home mom. During this time she blogged about using coupons and saving money. Eventually, Jill turned to content creation and started creating unique recipes and crafts for bloggers and soon contracted with local retailers in Northern Michigan.
Jill keeps our writing on point and provides amazing photography, simple ingredient recipes and easy crafts our readers love.
